On the 13th, Musinsa completely revamped the UI of its mobile app, Musinsa Store.
We divided the numerous categories that Musinsa offers into a multi-store format. Musinsa, Beauty, Player, Outlet. Boutique, Sneakers, Kids, Snap. Different colors are used for each category so that users can clearly see where they are. The layout, patterns, and styles are designed to be the same so that users do not have to learn new movements. Thin lines and sharp bends are maintained.
To make it clear that the space has changed, we filled the top bar with a background color. It creates a sense of weight, drawing the eye and naturally flowing from top to bottom. You can move to other stores by pressing the logo at the top left of the home screen.
The UI uses a color scheme that matches the mood of each category. 'Beauty' uses a gradient that changes from pink to yellow, 'Player', which provides sports/leisure products, uses sky blue, 'Outlet' uses deep red, 'Boutique' uses high-saturation blue, 'Sneakers' uses light gray, and 'Kids' uses orange and purple.rn Use purple.
Quick links are also used differently depending on the category. The previous quick links were an app icon style that distinguished by font style, but they have been changed to a flat chip style consisting of text and images. Basically, text is used, and photos and icons are used like emoticons. However, they are small in size and detailed, making them difficult to distinguish. There are also categories where the category name and image do not completely correspond. It seems difficult to express abstract content.
Functionally, the brand-centered experience that can be called the identity of Musinsa is smooth. You can check the ranking of trending brands at a glance, and you can filter only the brands you are interested in to see limited releases and popular product news. The UI is designed to accommodate any brand, so each brand page looks like a shopping mall operated directly by the brand.
New products can be checked separately in the 'Release' tab. The animation that catches the eye without being excessive is impressive. You can check the ranking of popular and new products as well as the ranking by style such as street, minimal, preppy, and girl core. It is helpful for purchasing and is good for looking at overall fashion trends. The community is also designed to be used like SNS while maintaining Musinsa's information search grammar. It is structured so that you can use it like Instagram and buy fashion products right away.
