Lotte Rental's car sharing subsidiary Green Car will be renamed 'Lotte Rent-a-Car G Car'. It aims to be a premium brand and its slogan is 'We ready, You just Go' (We take care of vehicle management, so just use it comfortably). It announced that it plans to increase awareness and reliability as a Lotte Rent-a-Car brand and has set the principle of making it easier to use safer and cleaner vehicles.
We also introduced a monthly subscription service. We introduced G car pass 100 (weekdays) for weekday operation and G car pass 1709 for commuting that can be used from the evening to the next morning. We are also launching a G car pass combination product for Lotte Rent-a-Car B2B and B2C customers.
The overall impression has changed so much that the Green Car brand is barely noticeable. The green color that symbolizes Green Car has become the red color of Lotte Rent-a-Car. The round curves applied to the font and graphics have become straight lines with sharp angles. The beginning of the stroke of G is cut off at an odd interval. The diamond shape stands out because of the point color and steep angle. The G and CAR look like different letters because the folding rules are different. The official logo includes the Lotte Rent-a-Car logo with the tagline on the left.
The mobile app hasn't changed much. It uses a new color palette, with red as the accent color and dark blue for the background and text. There are still some graphics that haven't been replaced yet.
The brand film was produced with a flowing animation. The safety and cleanliness of the rental car have a great impact on the overall service experience, and services such as three-times-a-week car wash and car wash notifications are introduced. In the recent Lotteria rebranding, the focus was on advertising using ‘Ria’, but this time, the focus was on ‘Ji’. It seems that Lotte has adopted ‘wordplay’ as its marketing concept these days.
