OFFF is a global design festival held in Barcelona since 2001. It began as an online conference that showcased creativity using Flash, which was the latest technology at the time, and has now become a huge festival that gathers voices on new images and aesthetics in the fields of design, art, entertainment, and digital culture.
OFFf's prologue sequences were always of high quality and became a standard by which to judge the video, motion, and sound design of that era. This time, we released a beautiful and impressive video.
Vasava, the Barcelona-based creative agency that designed the festival's identity, said it was inspired by Brutal architecture. ‘Cube’ acts as a traveler on the festival itinerary. It floats through various rooms, absorbing the unique characteristics of each space and transforming shapes, colors, etc., emphasizing the ever-evolving creative process.
A variety of people are said to be participating, including Spanish artist Alex Trochut, Brian Collins of Framestore, a subsidiary of the famous design agency Collins, and muralist and illustrator Timothy Goodman.
David Carson will participate and lead a workshop on creating posters using collage techniques. Gemma O'Brien hosts exclusive workshops in her own language, while Italian foundry Zetafonts holds typography workshops.
