Jikbang changed its logo after 10 years. We held the 'Rebranding Media Day' and unveiled the changed CI. The vision of 'infinitely expanding the residential experience' is contained by overlapping an oval signifying 'expansion' with the house icon that ZIGBANG focuses on. Instead of 'zigbang' in Korean, it was changed to 'zigbang' in English to emphasize its will to enter the global smart home market.
He said that he would focus on the houses where people live beyond the service of searching for houses. Starting with door locks and wall pads, we plan to build a smart home business model by introducing IoT.
From brighter and lighter colors than before, a completely different feeling is conveyed. For the symbol, 'home' and 'expand' were replaced with an icon and a circle, and the two figures were overlapped and the overlapping part was emptied. If you translate this into language, there is something that disappears when you combine 'home' and 'extension', but it was difficult to understand what it meant. The eye runs along the vaguely ragged border of the inner margin of the overlap. It's a little hard to tell that the non-overlapping parts have overlapped the house and the circle because they look similar to each other.
Recognition of a brand can change over time, but I wonder how it will be recognized.
