Design studio ZAK has unveiled its own football club identity, 'ZAK FC,' to match the World Cup atmosphere. Rather than an actual sports brand launch, this project is an example of extending the studio's internal play and experimentation into brand design.
ZAK created their own club, inspired by Hoodzpah Design's work of transforming the studio into 'Inter Hoodzpah FC'. Based on the premise of being established in 2018, 'ZAK FC' playfully organized the symbols and merchandise system typical of a football club.
This project also served as an opportunity to experiment with Figma Weave and Motion. ZAK utilized these tools to create various visual elements, including club crests, uniforms, caps, pennants, flags, and wax seals. A key feature is the expansion from a single logo into a tangible graphic system that evokes actual fan culture and sports identity.
The purpose of the project is closer to the joy of creation than to clear business results. Like the phrase “a good idea is worth 3 points,” ZAK FC demonstrates how a studio can freely play with design tools and brand language.
This case demonstrates that brand work does not always have to be centered on client tasks or market launches. Sometimes, lighthearted jokes, internal culture, and curiosity about new tools can lead to a complete identity system.
