Apple is expected to unveil a majorly revamped Siri at WWDC 2026 next week. According to recently released information, the new Siri is focused on evolving beyond a simple voice assistant into an AI interface that controls the entire iPhone.
This news is based on a report by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. Bloomberg released rendering images reconstructing the appearance of the new Siri based on leaked information and sources familiar with Apple's internal plans. These images are not the official design released by Apple, but rather predicted images created based on currently known information.
According to reports, the new Siri is more tightly integrated with the entire screen instead of the existing small voice response window. Users can request tasks such as composing messages, adding events, launching apps, and searching for documents using natural language, and it is reported that the way Siri performs tasks across multiple apps will be enhanced.
In particular, the rendering images show a new input field positioned at the bottom of the iPhone screen. This interface is depicted as integrating search and AI commands into a single unit. Users can search for information or request tasks from Siri within the same input field. Bloomberg reported that Apple is considering integrating its existing search experience with the AI assistant experience into a single workflow.
The possibility is being raised that generative AI features will be added to the Photos app as well. Features such as Reframe, which automatically adjusts photo composition, and Extend, which expands image edges, are being cited as prime examples. The direction is to provide an experience similar to Google Photos' Magic Editor or Samsung Galaxy's generative editing features.
Apple unveiled Apple Intelligence last year, but the launch of the next-generation Siri, which understands personal context and controls multiple apps, has been delayed. This WWDC is expected to be an opportunity for Apple to directly demonstrate the progress of its AI strategy.
