Google's App of the Year for 2024 is New York-based events app Partyful. Founded in 2020 by Palantir alumni Joy Tao and Shreya Murthy, Partyful is a platform that lets you create an event page and send invitations to your friends via a simple link.
You can create invitations that are tailored to your tastes. You can use various party management functions such as RSVP responses, sending updates, uploading photos, and creating surveys. You can also fine-tune the survey to find out food allergies or limit the number of participants. In particular, it is attractive because it provides design options and animation effects that match the party atmosphere, allowing you to decorate the digital invitations with a sense of style.
Those who receive the invitation can check or reply to the invitation without having to install the app, and can also manage it by linking it to their calendar. It has gained popularity among Gen Z users as a “hip and cool invitation” and has even been nicknamed “Facebook events for hot people.”
The app’s monthly active users will reach millions by the end of 2023, and the number of downloads will increase significantly in 2024, with the first week of November being particularly notable for its 70,000 downloads. However, according to Appfigures, 95% of all downloads came from iOS users, with the United States accounting for 92% of all downloads.
