Digital product marketplace Envato has rebranded, collaborating with Norway-based designer Milos Mitrovic.
Founded in Australia in 2006, Envato is a digital product platform where you can buy and sell anything from stock photos, videos, and music to templates, website themes, and code scripts. It was acquired by Shutterstock, the world's largest stock image company, in July.
“The rebrand is bold, vibrant and reflective of the Envato spirit, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to supporting evolution and creativity,” said Hishame Ashi, Envato CEO.
The unique symbols are impressive. The 'Creative Spark' symbol, which symbolizes creativity, and the 'Dynamic Dot', where the artist leaves his mark, were inspired by exclamation marks. The shape freely drawn with a fluorescent green marker pen gives off a sense of freedom and passion.
The company’s signature green has become brighter and more intense, with new complementary colors including Jalapeno, a deep green; Soft Serve, a creamy shade; and Dark Bubble Gum, a deep purple.
The sonic identity, created in collaboration with K. Sparks, is also attractive. The sense of space that resonates when the last dot is placed while the pitch goes up and down in time with the beat of the line that draws the symbol is wonderful. The graphics that look light are exquisitely combined with the heavy sound. K. Sparks said, “I wanted to help Envato’s sonic branding become bold, bold, and unique.”
The service UX has also changed. Instead of the gray-toned UI that looks empty, it has a cream-colored background and dark outlines. There is a clear contrast between the areas that can reveal the service’s identity and the content areas.
