The athletes’ uniforms for the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Paris are being unveiled one by one. As expected from an event sponsored by the luxury empire LVMH, this Olympics is a show of sincerity in fashion. LVMH jewelry brand Chaumet designed the Olympic medals, and Louis Vuitton designed the trunks to hold the medals and torch. In addition, many countries have collaborated with great fashion brands to design stylish uniforms. Here are some of the impressive uniforms.
Korea – Musinsa Standard
The opening and closing ceremony uniforms were made by Musinsa. Inspired by blue and white porcelain, they were designed to resemble a suit with a belt. The calm blue color of the clothes has a blue and white porcelain pattern engraved on the lining of the blazer. The square-shaped belt worn around the waist when wearing traditional official uniforms was reinterpreted and made into a belt.

France – Beluti, Le Coq Sportif
The opening ceremony uniform was designed by Berluti based on the colors of France and the tuxedo. Based on blue, the white and red of the French flag are expressed in an elegant gradient. The male players can choose from a classic midnight blue wool tuxedo, while the female players can choose from silk trousers or skirts or sleeveless tops. The match uniform was designed by Le Coq Sportif. In collaboration with Stephane Ashpool, they designed the uniforms to be worn on the podium, in the athletes’ village, and for official visits.

USA – Ralph Lauren, Nike, Jay Lindbergh
The opening ceremony uniform was designed by Ralph Lauren. The square, slab-serif font with the word “USA” strongly expresses an American feel. The colors are similar to those of France, but the bold contrast creates a classic American nostalgia. The game uniform was designed by Nike. It seems to have a stronger Nike feel than a national identity. The elegant national golf team uniform was designed by Jay Lindberg.

Canada – Lululemon
The opening ceremony uniform features a jacquard-printed flight jacket and shorts with Canadian art, architecture and nature as keywords. The podium uniform features a pair of shorts and a zippered jacket with sleeves. The closing ceremony costume was created in collaboration with artist Mason Marson. “The lightweight, easy-drying uniform features easy temperature control and a newly developed pocket shape and placement,” said Calvin McDonald, CEO of Lululemon.
