Dyson has entered the electric toothbrush market. The new product is the 'Dyson CameraJet'. It was unveiled in Paris on September 1, 2026.
This product features a 100k-pixel macro lens camera in the toothbrush head. The camera analyzes 28 images per second. Dyson describes this as 'Gap Optical Targeting' technology. It is designed to spray mouthwash when it detects the space between teeth, allowing for brushing and flossing in a single step.
Product development took six years. Dyson stated that 661 engineers participated. The toothbrush contains a 12.5ml mouthwash tank. The docking station handles both charging and refilling. Dyson is also releasing a dedicated low-foam toothpaste and mouthwash. This configuration is designed to prevent foam from obstructing the camera's view.
The US retail price is $499.99. The price based on UK press reports is £420. Dyson explains that the product screen connects to the MyDyson app, but captured images are not saved or shared.
