Adobe x YouTube: Creator for YouTube Shorts

Adobe and YouTube announced a new collaboration for creators worldwide. The companies unveiled "Create for YouTube Shorts," a creative platform that combines Adobe Premiere Mobile and YouTube Shorts for professional-level video editing and instant publishing on mobile.

The announcement was made at Adobe Max 2025, the world's largest creative conference, held in Los Angeles, USA. Adobe has added a dedicated editing space for YouTube Shorts in Premiere Pro Mobile, empowering millions of creators to produce high-quality videos using AI-powered audio, sophisticated multitrack editing, and generative Firefly features.

Users can tap the "Edit with Adobe Premiere" icon in YouTube Shorts to directly access Premiere Mobile. This dedicated editing space offers exclusive effects, transitions, and title presets to enhance your video's quality, and you can upload your finished video to Shorts with a single tap. You can also create your own templates and share them with other creators, setting new trends.

“Our collaboration with YouTube will empower creators to be even more creative on the world’s biggest stage,” said Eli Greenfield, chief technology officer for Adobe Digital Media. “By bringing the professional-level video editing capabilities of Premiere Mobile to countless YouTube creators, we’ll be able to reach new audiences and create amazing content.”.

“Our goal at YouTube is to help creators tell powerful stories easily and effectively, no matter where they are,” said Scott Silver, YouTube’s VP of Engineering. “Integrating with Premiere Mobile will give creators even more editing features and options so they can create content their way and connect with the world.”.

This collaboration is interpreted as a strategy between the two companies to strengthen their creator-centric ecosystem amid the explosive growth of short-form video content production. Adobe entered the professional editing tool market for the mobile-first generation with the launch of Premiere Mobile last September, while YouTube has established itself as a platform where users around the world watch billions of short videos daily.

‘"Create for YouTube Shorts" will soon be available through the Premiere mobile app. This collaboration expands YouTube's accessibility and creative tools for creators, while Adobe further strengthens its AI-powered video production technology in the mobile market, solidifying its position as a key player in the global video creation ecosystem.
