Woocommerce, a famous WordPress e-commerce plugin, has rebranded. Many teams worked together for this rebranding, and all the work was done internally. The brand logo and colors have changed, and the overall image has become more modern.
WooCommerce supports a wide range of business types, but it’s especially helpful for growing businesses. We’re focused on expanding the WooCommerce ecosystem by working with hosting providers, technology partners, agencies, and more.
We have reflected core values in our brand, such as the flexibility to manage costs efficiently by selecting only the features you want, an open platform where you can directly own and manage your data, a community of developers and creators from all over the world, and stability based on WordPress, the world's most used CMS.
WooCommerce is evolving from a simple collection of plugins to a more integrated platform. To achieve this, we are focusing on integrating core functionality into the base platform and improving the user experience. The brand refresh serves to further strengthen Woo’s identity while maintaining consistency with this product strategy.
WooCommerce emphasizes openness and flexibility in a market dominated by SaaS-based commerce platforms. SaaS solutions are easy to get started with, but can be limiting for long-term business growth. WooCommerce’s core value is to empower store owners to have complete control. This rebranding aims to further communicate this distinction.
WooCommerce will be moving forward with this rebrand. In 2025, we plan to continue to evolve our brand while improving the functionality and usability of our products. The design team will be revealing more specific details about our brand development process soon.
