Nongshim Ramen design revived after 50 years

Nongshim announced that it will re-launch 'Nongshim Ramen' on the 13th to celebrate its 60th anniversary.

Nongshim Ramen was first introduced in 1975 and gained immense popularity, which led to the company name being changed from Lotte Industrial Co., Ltd. to Nongshim in 1978. The advertising slogan at the time, “Big Brother First, Little Brother First,” left a strong impression on consumers.

This time, the re-launched Nongshim Ramen was developed based on the recipe that was released in 1975. Nongshim explained that it maintained the original taste while improving it to suit the tastes of modern consumers. The packaging inherited the design from the time of release. Nongshim plans to present a special design package to convey memories to the generation that remembers Nongshim Ramen in the past and a retro newness to the younger generation. The advertising slogan, “Big brother first, little brother first,” was also reinterpreted in a modern way.

A Nongshim official said about the re-launch of Nongshim Ramen, “We wanted to reflect on Nongshim’s mission of embodying the heart of a farmer and share warmth through delicious food.”

Nongshim is considering re-launching two additional products in the first half of this year.
