Watcha has launched a short drama platform called 'Shotcha'. Short dramas are short dramas of about 1 minute in length and are formatted vertically to fit mobile devices. Watcha explains that it aims to be a short drama content platform that can be enjoyed without burden while on the move or during a short break.

It targets global markets including Korea, China, Japan, and the United States. It provides content such as the original drama 'The Most Painful Kiss in the World', the BL drama 'Teach Me', and the Chinese short drama 'The Cunning Maid'. You can watch some episodes of each content for free, and then you can watch them for a fee or watch them for free after watching ads. It cannot be used overseas due to copyright.

Shortcha's slogan is 'Unstoppable story racing'. Like the phrase 'rapid dopamine charging without build-up', it gives an overall fast feeling. It uses purple, which is different from Watcha's red. It uses a slanted font that gives off a sense of fast speed. The S in Short resembles Watcha's unique W ending. The app icon is left-aligned to match the starting point of the slanted wordmark, and is expressed in two lines because it is long.

The tabs are simply organized into Recommendations, Explore, and Rewards. Recommendations are vertical cards that show each drama. A teaser video plays as if the drama is about to start.

The Explore tab allows you to browse dramas by topic. There are still many Chinese short dramas, but there are also Watcha original dramas.

In the Rewards tab, you can complete missions such as attendance checks and receive jelly, which is a bonus cash. If you check in every day for 7 consecutive days, you can receive more jelly. Jelly for paid payment is yellow, and bonus jelly is purple.
