Apple announced the iPhone 16. At 1:00 PM on the 9th (local time), the company unveiled its new second-half iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch 10, and AirPod 4 products at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
This is the first iPhone to feature Apple's AI, Apple Intelligence. It will provide features to help with writing and create drawings. Siri will also become smarter. Apple Intelligence will be released in the US this year, starting with English.
New physical buttons have been added to the iPhone: the 'Camera Control' and the 'Action Button'.
The camera controls are located on the thumb when holding the iPhone in your right hand. You can control the camera without moving your fingers or hands too much. You can adjust the camera exposure or depth of field by sliding as if you were touching it. A half-shutter function similar to a camera that locks focus and exposure by lightly pressing the button is also scheduled to be released this year.
The action button is located in the existing mute button position. When pressed, the button performs actions preset by the user. You can use the existing functions such as switching to silent mode or switching to focus mode. You can also use it when launching apps such as the camera, flashlight, and voice memo, or you can register shortcuts to perform a complex series of actions.
