LA28: Constantly changing dynamics

The 34th Olympic Games will be held in LA in 2028. It will be held for the first time in 44 years since the 1984 LA Olympics. Tom Cruise, who appeared at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, was a hot topic. Tom Cruise, who received the Olympic flag, fell from the sky like in the movie <Mission Impossible> and rode a cool motorcycle to the United States.

Upon arrival in the United States, the legendary Hollywood sign, known to all, was joined by three additional 'O's' to represent the Olympic rings. Famous American track and field athlete Michael Johnson, skateboarder Jagger Eaton, and MTB US national team member Kate Courtney appeared. Then, pop culture icons RHCP, Snoop Dogg, and Billie Eilish gave congratulatory performances.

The official emblem is a flexible branding with no set form. The English word LA28 is written in two lines, and the letter 'A' changes into various forms.

Several versions of the emblem were released, each representing LA's natural environment, such as its sunshine and sand, and members of society, such as sexual minorities, the disabled, youth, women, and workers.

LA-based creatives and athletes like Billie Eilish, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Rippon and Bobby Hundreds also contributed to the designs.

The bold, powerful typeface was created by LA-based type designer Jeremy Mickel. It is an octagonal sans-serif inspired by the typeface for the 1932 LA Olympics and the Hollywoodland sign.
