Wanted has released the ‘Wanted Design Library’. This is a design system established by our design organization to efficiently design digital products while maintaining high quality. The design system, which has been built up solidly and tightly over a long period of time based on various technologies, has been registered as open source in the Figma community so that anyone can use it.
It consists of basic design elements that even beginners can use usefully. It is divided into the basic Foundation, such as color, typography, grid, and icons, and the Element, which is a major element often used in various environments.
Colors are composed of colors that are used according to their meaning and a palette that is used according to rules. Semantic colors are names given to colors based on their context and use. For example, depending on the degree of stimulation given by the main color, it is expressed as Normal, Strong, or Heavy. We also provide colors suitable for light and dark themes.
The palette represents black and white and main colors in stages. Brightness and saturation were naturally expressed to match the color changes in nature. Contrary to Google's Material, the higher the number at the end of the name, the brighter it is.
The font consists of Pretendad and Wanted Sans. Several versions of the semantic hierarchy are well organized for use in a variety of contexts. Guidelines on how to use it for each purpose are also included. Pretendad JP for Japanese is also supported.
The grid provides detailed rules for the entire screen, spacing, and layout. Configure 2-column, 3-column, and 12-column grids to fit mobile and desktop screen sizes. It offers a variety of default icons and also offers several options such as thickness. Elements that must be used according to the characteristics of OS such as Android or iOS have also been prepared. Detailed guidelines were attached to each element.
The Wanted Design team has been actively incorporating new technologies and techniques to create better designs. We developed digital-specific fonts such as Pretendad and Wanted Sans, and created files such as Variants and Design Tokens that can be used in various contexts, and Bird's Eye View, which allows you to browse the entire service. We look forward to continuing to create innovations in the design engineering field.
