Swiss watch brands Omega and Swatch have unveiled the 'Mission to the Moon Phase' to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Moonwatch collection. This time Snoopy was with us.
It is a clock that is all white, like a pure white moon. It consists of a white dial, white case, and white Velcro strap. Snoopy is sleeping on the auxiliary disk to the right of the clock, where you can see the current shape of the moon. It is not normally visible, but when the surroundings become dark, the famous line from the cartoon 'Peanuts', "I can't sleep without a night light," along with the moon and stars, glows blue. The back of the watch also has a cute moon shape and footprints.
Omega's Speedmaster model is famous for being the watch used by Apollo 13, which went into space to land on the moon, and returned safely to Earth. The 11 editions that embody the design of the Speedmaster are the Bioceramic Moonwatch Collection. It was a hot topic because you could buy Omega's representative model for 330,000 won.
Snoopy is the longtime mascot of NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He has been a safety ambassador since the 1960s and even has an award, the ‘Silver Snoopy Award’, given to those who have contributed to the success of the mission.
