Misfits Gaming Rebranding: From Battle Bunnies to Play Bunnies

Florida-based esports collective Misfits Gaming Group has been rebranded as Misfits Gaming Group. Participated in famous gaming competitions such as League of Legends, Overwatch, Call of Duty, and Counter Strike. We have been involved in various activities in games and media. The rebranding is one of the biggest changes since streamer, YouTuber and content creator Karl Jacobs joined as owner and creative director in March.

👁️ Designer Eye

The rugged bunny wearing the iconic eyepatch has become cute. Instead of the rabbit depicted as it would appear in the game, a rabbit with big cartoon eyes appeared, making full use of the white space. It is impressive to express the symbol as an animal and use it in various fields by deconstructing the form. Rabbit tails wag in different environments.

Full of cartoon-like expressions. The catalpa font that looks like a comic book cover placed on a slightly twisted grid and the hand-drawn UI elements come together in a cute way. Red like tomatoes and purple like eggplant go well together. Bold and chubby colors are light. A playful and versatile impression melted throughout.

📕 Editor's Notes

It seems that Misfits is a change to get out of the game and become a comprehensive entertainment. It feels like watching a TV program. We are growing into a group that creates creative results by providing social media channels and studios that create video programs. I wonder what direction the Korean sandbox network, which can be seen as a similar form, will go in the future.
