Skydance, Paramount and Warner Bros. United

Paramount has completed the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery and named the integrated entity Skydance. Launched on October 6, 2026, Skydance encompasses various brands including Paramount and Warner Bros., as well as HBO and CNN. Skydance, which was previously used as the name of a production company, has expanded to represent the entire group.

This brand structure is a method of distinguishing the identities of the integrated corporation from those of the individual studios. Skydance represents the entire corporation, while Paramount and Warner Bros. remain as the names of their respective studios. David Ellison explained that the new corporate identity was designed to ensure it does not obscure or alter the names of the two studios. It establishes a higher-level name that connects them while maintaining the brands familiar to audiences.

Skydance also utilized a scene where various elements converge into one in its existing logo video. The theatrical animation produced by Imaginary Forces originated from the 'Aurery,' a mechanical model that replicates the movements of the solar system. The letters forming the company name travel along sunlight and orbits, then converge into a single name in a space filled with stars. The composition showcases the brand through the movement of each individual letter.

The launch of this integrated corporation and the existing logo video represent different projects in terms of production timing and purpose. However, the existing expression, in which multiple letters form a single name, can be interpreted in connection with the current corporate structure that encompasses various studios. The announcement of the new launch introduced the history of Paramount and Warner Bros. together while presenting the name Skydance. This approach maintains the recognition built by the individual brands while adding a common identity at the corporate level.
