Raycast has unveiled the 'Raycast Keyboard,' a low-profile mechanical keyboard developed in collaboration with keyboard brand NuPhy. Raycast introduced this product as a keyboard designed for quick access to frequently used commands.
The product features the ANSI 75% layout. It has 85 keys. It includes 14 custom keycaps and is designed to allow visual identification of Raycast commands. It also features a dedicated Hyper key. The Hyper key is a function used to assign separate shortcuts to frequently used commands in Raycast.
The switch is a Nano Blush linear switch. The actuation force is 42±15gf. The advance travel is 1.7±0.4mm, and the total travel is 3.2±0.2mm. The body consists of an aluminum top plate and an ABS bottom plate. The keycaps are double-shot type.
It supports 2.4GHz, USB-C, and Bluetooth 5.0 connection methods. The polling rate for wired and 2.4GHz connections is 1,000Hz. The Bluetooth connection is 125Hz. The battery capacity is 4,000mAh, and Raycast states up to 1,200 hours of usage.
The price is $149.95. According to the official Raycast page, the first batch is currently sold out, and a waiting list is being accepted for the next batch. The product page states, “Designed by Raycast and Engineered by NuPhy.” Nichlas Wærnes Andersen and Tim Van Damme are included in the customization credits.
