A Hebrew style has been added to Relic, the display typeface for East of Rome. Relic has previously been introduced as a headline typeface supporting Latin, Cyrillic, and Arabic characters. With this update, Hebrew characters have now been included in the product family.
Relic is a heavy, sharp-serif title typeface derived from tombstone lettering and inscriptions carved on stone. According to the official introduction by East of Rome, the existing product family consists of Canonic, Demotic, and Arabic styles, and includes support for Extended Latin, Cyrillic, and Arabic languages.
The new Hebrew style was created by Hebrew typeface designer Eran Ben Barak. He previously worked on a typeface combining Latin and Hebrew characters for ECAL's Olivia Typeface project. Relic's addition of Hebrew is an update that expands its existing multi-character family. The typeface is available exclusively on the East of Rome website.
