Nothing's sub-brand CMF has unveiled its first open-type wireless earphones, the 'CMF Clip Pro'. Instead of the in-ear style that blocks the inside of the ear, it uses a clip structure that attaches to the outside of the ear. It is a product that allows you to play music while hearing ambient sounds. CMF is selling for $99 in the U.S. and comes in three colors: dark gray, light gray, and coral.
The Clip Pro uses a 3-point securing structure with a thin C-shaped bridge that rests on the ear. Each earbud weighs 5.9g. The charging case features a 'Smart Dial,' allowing you to control volume, playback, calls, and device pairing using the dial without removing your smartphone. The earbuds also include physical buttons.
The audio is equipped with 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers. Ultra Bass Technology has been applied to compensate for the issue of bass reduction in open-type designs. It supports Hi-Res Audio and LDAC, and AAC and SBC codecs are also available. Four microphones and Clear Voice Technology are used for calls.
The battery provides up to 10 hours of use on a single charge, or up to 32.5 hours with the charging case. It also supports fast charging, offering up to 4 hours of playback with just 10 minutes of charging. Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint connectivity, Google Fast Pair, Microsoft Swift Pair, low-latency mode, and IP54 dust and water resistance are also supported. Settings can be changed in the Nothing X app.
