Adobe Illustrator Unveils Concept to Vector

Adobe has added Concept to Vector to Illustrator version 30.5. This feature converts selected images, such as sketches or photos, into editable vector artwork by entering prompts. You can also create vector results based on images without prompts.

Concept to Vector converts hand-drawn sketches, photos, and raster images into vector illustrations. While the existing Image Trace vectorized based on pixel boundaries and colors, this feature interprets the image and incorporates prompts to create a new vector result.

You can use it to turn rough logo sketches into clean outlines or transform product photos into a brand illustration style.

The same update also includes Prompt to Edit. This feature allows you to edit generative artwork created with Text to Vector Graphic or Turntable using prompts. You can instruct tasks such as adding elements, changing colors, or replacing parts using natural language.
