To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film "Back to the Future," Casio has revived Marty McFly's calculator watch. This special edition recreates iconic details from the film and is a limited edition that is both nostalgic and collectible.
First appearing in 1985, "Back to the Future" became a pop culture icon, along with the DeLorean time machine, and the Casio calculator watch worn by the main character Marty also became a symbol of '80s technology. For this commemorative edition, Casio has reinterpreted the model from that era, presenting the CA-500WEBF-1A. The metal case replaces the plastic material of the original for enhanced durability and a sense of luxury, and design elements inspired by the film's DeLorean time machine have been added.
The face of the watch features colorful buttons inspired by a time circuit, while the back is intricately engraved with a flux capacitor pattern. Visual elements reminiscent of the "OUTATIME" license plate and taillights from the film have also been added. The watch retains the original's basic digital functions, including an eight-digit calculator, stopwatch, date display, and alarm.
The product is packaged in a VHS-style package, evoking a nostalgic 80s feel. It's priced at approximately $120, and pre-orders begin on October 21st.
