Apple announced the iPhone 16e, a new budget model of the iPhone 16 lineup, on February 19, 2025. This model features the A18 chip and Apple's self-developed C1 modem, providing fast performance and efficient battery life. It supports enhanced AI features through Apple Intelligence.
The iPhone 16e features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and a 48MP Fusion camera system for high-quality photos and 2x optical zoom. In terms of design, it comes in black or white matte finishes and has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. The USB-C port improves compatibility with a variety of accessories. iPhone 16e changes the design and function by removing the traditional Home button, Lightning port, and mute switch, and introducing a USB-C port and customizable action buttons.
It comes in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options and starts at $599. Pre-orders begin on February 21, with the official release date being February 28.
