KRDS, which was released last April, is launching its service as a government-wide UI/UX design system.
The Korean government introduced the 'KRDS (Korea Design System)' design system in April to improve the quality and consistency of digital services. KRDS is designed to provide a consistent user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) across public service websites and applications.
KRDS aims to standardize various digital government services. This will allow users to have a consistent experience when using various government services. By codifying design elements (design tokens), we minimized communication issues between designers and developers, increased work efficiency, and improved usability so that anyone can use it easily, considering the digitally vulnerable.
We provide documentation on how to use the design system, its purpose, rules, code samples, etc. We also provide guides and examples for easy reference by users such as designers, developers, and government officials.
It has been updated in detail, from the detailed figures that define the shape of design elements, to the components used when designing websites, to the patterns that solve user problems.
