Apple Music has announced a year-end review feature called 'Replay 2024'. Similar to Spotify's 'Wrapped', it will allow users to look back on the most streamed songs, artists, and albums of the year.
Key features added this year include Listening Streak, which shows the longest period of continuous listening on Apple Music; First Listened Date, which tells you when you first heard a particular song or artist; a newly added Monthly Replays feature, which tells you your most-played songs and artists each month of the year; and Top Artist Streak, which shows you how many months in a row a particular artist has been your most-played artist.
Apple Music has also expanded its Top Listeners stats this year. Previously, you could see if you were ranked in the Top 100 for a particular artist or genre, but now you can also see if you’re ranked in the Top 500 and Top 1,000.

This year, Replay will be available directly within the Apple Music app for iOS 18.1 and later users, as well as on the web. Users can easily access Replay from the Home, New, and Discover tabs. Users on older operating systems and Android will still be able to access Replay via the web.
Apple Music is also introducing a new Replay feature for artists, which lets artists see how much time users have listened to their music over the past year, as well as the most-played cities and Shazam searches.
Apple Music is trying to get ahead of Spotify’s ‘Wrapped’ by launching Replay, a strategy to get ahead of the music-related social media sharing race. Replay not only lets users see how their music tastes have changed, but also lets them watch highlight reels that visualize their listening data in animated cards.
Apple Music has released a number of year-end charts, including the Global Top Songs chart, Most Searched Lyrics chart, and the first Global Radio Play ranking. The most streamed song on Apple Music worldwide this year is Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”
