Slack has added a widget feature to iOS. Easily check missed conversations and update your status. You can set up Catch Up on your home screen widget to see unread messages and mentions at a glance.
You can set up a small status widget tab that takes you to an app page where you can update your status, or you can set up a large status widget that lets you choose from three presets: Focus, Lunch, and Break.
Setting the status is a frequent action, but it is scary that notifications are visible even on the lock screen. When I see Slack notifications or messages, I can't ignore them, so I often end up getting dragged into work. I feel like I might end up in work mode every time I turn on my smartphone.
