Galaxy Unpacked 2023: The future of the foldable smartphone experience

Samsung held Galaxy Unpacked at Samsung COEX on July 26th at 8pm. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy S23, Galaxy Watch 6 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series were unveiled.

Recently, Samsung is taking on many challenges to deliver Galaxy's unique UX. Among the product news released this time, we have summarized the impressive changes.

Galaxy Z Flip 5

Flip's unique display was branded with the word 'Flex'. The most impressive change, the 3.4-inch cover display, is now called the Flex Window.

Taking selfies with the Flex Display by folding the Flip is called FlexCam, and when you fold the inside of the Flip to use it, it is called Flex Mode.

As the size of the cover display increases, various information can be checked. Widgets used on the smartphone's lock screen or home screen can be used on the cover display in a similar way.

Available in 4 colors: Mint, Graphite, Cream and Lavender. Gray, Blue, Green, and Yellow are also available only at Samsung.com and Samsung Gangnam.

Galaxy Z Fold 5

The Galaxy Z Fold focused on the experience of enjoying videos and games more comfortably. It is smaller and lighter than before. The hinge is also more natural than before. It is equipped with a 1,750 nit brightness display that is good for viewing images even in direct sunlight, and is equipped with the 2nd generation of Snapdragon 8.

You can also work with three windows open on a wide screen. It's like a smartphone-tablet-PC all rolled into one.

It comes in three colors: ice blue, phantom black, and cream. Blue and gray, exclusive colors for Samsung.com and Samsung Gangnam, are also available.

Galaxy S23

This Galaxy S23 focused on the experience of taking pictures. It's still difficult to take clear pictures in dark environments, but the Galaxy's Nitography camera has improved. You can take clear selfies even in low light and take astrophotography with the Expert RAW function.

You can denoise old photos and low-quality images you find online and sharpen them by increasing their resolution. It basically provides the functions that AI apps used to provide.

The S23 comes in 4 colors: lavender, cream, phantom black, and green. Samsung.com and Samsung Gangnam offer exclusive color Ragraphite.

Ultra comes in 4 colors: green, phantom black, lavender and cream. There are also sky blue, graphite, and red, exclusive colors for Samsung.com and Samsung Gangnam.

The new experience of Galaxy Z is fresh. A similar experience was provided as the usability and functions of smartphones were leveled up, but Samsung took on a new market with a big heart, and it's cool to grow the market step by step.
