Instagram announced that it was rolling out a channel feature that was being tested on a limited number of people in February. We rolled out the ability to spread messages to multiple people, and added collaborator features like deputy moderators in May. You can go to the DM page and find channels you can join in the Featured section. (Not yet applied in Korea.)
To participate in the announcement channel, you must first follow the creator.
If you are an Instagram creator, you can create an announcement channel by tapping the DM icon in the Instagram app and tapping the Edit icon. You can share announcements, behind-the-scenes stories, event details, and more in detail.
Followers can react to messages or vote in polls, but cannot send messages. Announcements channels are public and searchable by anyone, but only the creator's followers can participate inside.
There is a kakaotalk room for announcements on Instagram. However, it seems to be a room where the writing is hidden when participants other than the operator speak.
You had to create standardized images or videos suitable for your feed, but now the hurdles for production are lower. It seems that creators and followers will be able to communicate more comfortably.
