Most of the respondents were product, UX/UI, and UX designers, and full-time employees were the largest at companies with 11 to 100 employees and designers with 2 to 10 employees. Many people with more than 10 years of experience participated.
When it comes to UI design tools, Figma is overwhelmingly number one.
Even for basic prototyping, Figma is number one with an overwhelming number of 91%.
ProtoPie shows similar numbers in prototyping as in direct coding.
When it comes to user testing tools, Maze is number one.
Our research also looked at portfolio builders. Like a maker, the rate of direct coding is high. The design system is overwhelmingly figma. Digital whiteboards are still going strong.
