U.S. aviation startup Hermeas has unveiled a new brand and website. The work was handled by design studio HAUS. Hermeas is a company aiming to develop high-speed aircraft. The new design is centered around the company's core motto, "Building Fast Planes, Fast.".
The project proceeded by refining the existing brand. HAUS redrew Hermeus's winged symbol and created a new wordmark and type system. The four feathers of the original symbol represent the four co-founders. The new symbol was modified to have sharper geometry and refined proportions.
On the website, 3D renderings of aircraft are used as the central image. The airframe's materials, propulsion systems, and structure are revealed in detail. Motion utilizes thermal distortion of high-speed flight, engine vibration, motion blur, and focus transitions as visual elements. Wavy text effects also operate within this flow. Text serves as a device that conveys information while simultaneously displaying speed and pressure.
Hermeers announced that it has expanded its DIU contract to $219 million in May 2026. The new brand focuses on showcasing aircraft within the flow of iterative development and flight testing, rather than as individual products.
