Samsung has launched the One UI 9 beta program for Galaxy S26 series users. This beta is based on Android 17. The target countries are South Korea, Germany, India, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Users can apply for the beta program through the Samsung Members app.
This update focuses on adjusting frequently used features rather than a major design overhaul. The Quick Panel has been redesigned to allow for more flexible placement of brightness, sound, and media panels. Samsung Notes has added a Tape feature and new pen styles. DeX has improved window movement and multitasking flow.
Accessibility and security have also changed. Features include Text Spotlight, Mouse Key speed control, and integration with Google and Samsung TalkBack. High-risk apps may be blocked from installation or execution.
Beta 2 is closer to stabilization than new features. An update of approximately 1.6GB has been distributed to the Galaxy S26 series, including security patches for June 2026 and system bug fixes. The beta has also been expanded to include India and Poland.
