OpenAI has officially added a doodle-style image template to the official ChatGPT image templates. The template originated from a single Korean user. Users are calling it "the second Ghibli.".
At the end of last month, a Korean user, @withgrdnrush, posted a prompt on Threads that aimed for the exact opposite of high-quality images. The content was simple: “Draw it with the crappiest lines in the world. Never mind, just draw it however you want.”
The reaction spread rapidly. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman retweeted the post, and the background photos on OpenAI and ChatGPT's official social media accounts were replaced with images in a tacky style. xAI's Grok also released the same prompt as a separate template, and domestic and international celebrities as well as multinational corporations joined the viral spread by converting their brand images into the tacky style and posting them on social media.
