With the unveiling of the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung Electronics put agentic AI experiences at the forefront, anticipating user intent and context to suggest actions. The strategy is to transform the flow of mobile usage by offering assistance at the moment it is needed, even without the user issuing a command first.
Now Nudge, introduced as a core feature, analyzes messenger conversations and screen context to provide immediate suggestions. When receiving a message asking to send travel photos, it automatically finds relevant images in the gallery and guides the user to share them via a pop-up icon. If a message is received to coordinate a schedule, it checks the calendar and immediately notifies the user on the screen of any conflicts. This allows users to reduce the need to navigate between apps.
Now Brief has also been enhanced. Based on the user's schedule and patterns, it reminds you of appointments you might easily miss and delivers a summary of the information you need for the day. It is designed to quickly connect preparation and action by providing personalized briefings on the device.
The search function has been expanded through the advancement of Circle to Search. It simultaneously recognizes multiple elements within a circle drawn on the screen and groups the results together. It supports a workflow that allows you to find item information, such as tops and bottoms, from styled photos all at once.
The agent configuration has also become more open. Bixby has enhanced natural language-based conversations to enable voice-based tasks such as changing settings. Users can select their preferred agent, such as Gemini or Perflexity, and activate it via the side button or voice. Tasks requiring multiple steps have been streamlined so that the AI handles the process, requiring only final confirmation from the user.
Security and privacy protection features have also been expanded. The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a Privacy Display that reduces screen exposure from the side. The call screening feature was introduced as a function where AI answers calls from unknown numbers and provides a summary. A private album has been added to the Gallery, allowing content to be hidden without logging into an account. Along with its Knox-based protection system, Samsung also announced a policy to provide long-term security updates.
The launch schedule has been announced as a global sequential release starting March 11. Domestic pre-orders will take place from February 27 to March 5. Samsung Electronics has presented a direction to evolve the Galaxy S26 into a digital assistant-type device that actively assists the smartphone.
