Netmarble's blockchain gaming platform, Marvrex, has undergone a complete rebranding to celebrate its third anniversary. The core message of the rebrand is a declaration to bring back the fun of web3 gaming. The platform's operational priorities will be focused on gameplay and emotional immersion, rather than complex procedures like token exchanges and NFT trading.
In this reorganization, Marbrex has prioritized expanding its gaming partnerships. It will also strengthen its user rewards system. New operating principles include strengthening technology and sustainability, as well as operating a community-centered ecosystem. Its visual identity has also been revamped. The company unveiled Gobi, a green goblin, as its first mascot. Drawing inspiration from fantasy goblins, the design emphasizes a playful expression and friendly demeanor. A mascot-based token design was also unveiled, combining fluorescent colors with gobi elements to create a youthful sensibility. The logo, with its curved bubble shape, reinforces its casual impression.
The technology roadmap includes the introduction of zkEVM, which aims to improve processing speed and alleviate transaction fees within an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible architecture. An annual schedule was also presented. In the first quarter, the company plans to unveil the Gobi platform, expand the slogan, and migrate the platform. In the second quarter, a user interface redesign and new game releases are anticipated. In the third quarter, global expansion and IP collaboration announcements are targeted. In the fourth quarter, a platform-wide update is planned.
Marvrex announced plans to onboard more than 10 new game projects, including MMORPGs, casual games, and simulations, into its ecosystem by 2026. Industry observers are curious to see whether this content-centric strategy will translate into token value and user retention. However, given the challenges facing the Web3 game market, rebuilding trust and expanding real-world usage, the key question is whether this rebranding can be proven through performance and metrics.
