Nintendo has officially launched its smartphone app, "Nintendo Today!" This app offers daily updates on Nintendo-related games, event news, and other small details like an anime calendar, making it a platform worth keeping an eye on for Nintendo fans.
"Nintendo Today!" features an animated calendar featuring characters from popular game series like Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Pikmin, and Kirby. You can also personalize your home screen with widgets designed for each series, giving you the fun of customizing your smartphone in Nintendo style.
The app also provides information on Nintendo software release schedules, in-game events, and official events like Nintendo Directs. Users can customize the display of specific games and events, and can even sync with their iOS calendar or Android Google Calendar to view them alongside their personal schedule.
The first update, version 1.1, released alongside this update, adds "Calendar Integration" and "Favorites" features. Now, you can link the in-app calendar to your smartphone's default calendar to see Nintendo-related events at a glance. You can also save and filter news and content of interest as favorites for easy retrieval. An image zoom feature has also been added, allowing you to pinch to enlarge illustrations and screenshots for a closer look.
The app is free to use for anyone with a Nintendo Account and can be downloaded from the iOS App Store or Google Play. Installing the app also grants you the privilege of watching the live stream of the "Nintendo Direct 2025.9.12" scheduled for September 12th at 10 PM with Korean subtitles. However, please note that the video was produced based on North American information and includes game titles that will not be released in Korea.
