French running apparel brand Satisfy has finally officially released its first self-produced running shoe, "The Rocket." Having long explored the running shoe market through collaborative models, Satisfy is garnering attention as its first independently produced sneaker.
The "The Locker" is designed as a performance shoe optimized for all-terrain running. The upper is made of "Lippy 66 Monomesh," a breathable and durable material, and the lining is lined with Japanese microfiber for enhanced comfort. The midsole features Arkema's "Euphoria Foam," combining the benefits of PEBA and EVA. Its superior shock absorption and energy return ensure a stable fit, even on long runs.
The outsole showcases Satispy's signature creative approach. Inspired by RC car tires, the "Tune Lug" structure provides excellent traction on a variety of terrains, while Vibram's Mega Grip and Light Base technologies provide a lightweight yet powerful grip. Trail shoe designers from Salomon and Arc'teryx were involved in the development process, further enhancing the technical sophistication.
It comes in three colors: Falcon, Shadow, and Antique White, and is priced at $290 (approximately 402,000 won). The product packaging also reflects Satisfy's signature aesthetic, resembling an RC car kit box and comes with decals and shoe covers.
Brand founder Bryce Fatouche emphasized, "The Locker is not simply a performance shoe, but the result of Satisfy's philosophy of interpreting running culture." He envisioned expanding the shoe line since founding the brand in 2015, and he considers this launch the culmination of his perseverance and hard work.
The Locker will be available in limited quantities on the Satisfy official website starting August 14th at 11 PM KST. Satisfy plans to release additional colorways in the future, focusing on specific trail races.
