Insadol Plus Brand Design

Insadol, a synonym for gum medicine, has renewed its brand through collaboration with design studio Double D. Insadol, first introduced by Dongkook Pharmaceutical in 1978, has earned the trust of consumers for nearly half a century as a representative of the 'gum medicine' category. In 2014, it expanded its product line by launching 'Insadol Plus' with added herbal complex ingredients, and has received even stronger support from the elderly. However, as the sensibilities of the middle-aged and older generation are becoming younger and their consumption standards are becoming more sophisticated, the Insadol brand is also required to have a sense of the times.

The ‘pen tip-like strokes’, which were a symbolic element of the existing Insadol logo, were maintained. However, modern details were added to both the Korean and English logos to enhance the balance and clarity of the lines.

In the package design, the core color of Insadol, intense red, and the existing face division structure were maintained, but reinterpreted in a modern way. The ratio of the faces and the placement of the logo were carefully adjusted to add visual stability and sophistication. In addition, a new sub-color was introduced to emphasize the brand's expandability, and in terms of information design, the system was reorganized so that users can easily understand the product's features.

In the post-processing of the package, we appropriately mixed glossy and matte to enhance tactile satisfaction, and considered accessibility for a wider customer base by indicating the product ingredient names in Braille.
