Samsung has announced its latest foldable smartphone lineup at its 2025 summer Galaxy Unpacked event. The stars are the Galaxy Z Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7, and the new Fan Edition, the Z Flip7 FE. The three models will be officially released on July 25 and are currently available for pre-order on Samsung’s official website.
The most eye-catching product is the Z Fold 7. It is noticeably thinner than before, measuring only 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. The front display is 6.5 inches, and the internal display is 8 inches, so the size has also increased. It provides the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, up to 16GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and the main camera supports a whopping 200 million pixels. However, unlike previous models, S Pen support is excluded. Prices start at $1,999.

The Z Flip 7 also has a larger 4.1-inch cover display and a 6.9-inch internal screen compared to its predecessor. It has a 4,300mAh battery, 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip. Pricing starts at $1,099. It also supports Samsung DeX mode, a first for the Flip series.
Aiming at a more affordable price point, the Z Flip 7 FE will start at $899. It has a similar design and specs to the Flip 6, with a 3.4-inch cover display, 6.7-inch internal screen, 4,000mAh battery, Exynos 2400 chip, and 8GB of RAM. However, it does not have the new hinge design or durability.

Along with this, Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Watch8 series. The Watch8 comes in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm, and offers the Exynos W1000 chip, 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of storage. The design has been changed to the ‘Squirkle’ shape, which is a mix of square and circle. The price starts at $349 for the Bluetooth model.
The Watch 8 Classic brings back the traditional rotating bezel, comes in a single 46mm size, has 64GB of storage, and a 445mAh battery, and is priced from $499.
The Watch Ultra 2025 looks the same, but has 64GB of storage and a new color, blue. It’s priced the same as before at $649.

There are also changes on the software side. Android 16 and One UI 8 come preloaded, and Google’s generative AI, Gemini, integrates with Samsung’s Calendar, Notes, and Reminders apps. Real-time camera analysis and chatbot utilization are also possible through Gemini Live on the Z Flip7 cover screen.
The smartwatch also features Google Wear OS 6 and is the first to feature Gemini as a voice assistant. You can perform a variety of functions, such as checking your schedule, sending messages, and playing music, using natural language commands.
