2026 World Cup Official Poster Released

The official city poster set for the FIFA World Cup 2026 has been released. This World Cup 26 is the first World Cup to be held simultaneously in three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. 48 teams will participate in 16 host cities. This official poster project is the first in the FIFA World Cup Official City Poster Series, visually expressing the love for beautiful football in each host city.

Seattle’s poster features a killer whale swimming in the ocean, and designer Shogo Ota has created a unique image that combines sports and marine culture. Boston’s nautical setting is cleverly expressed through artist John Rego’s playful depiction of a lobster serving as a referee. Houston’s symbol of the city’s aerospace industry is symbolized by an astronaut kicking a soccer ball.

Mexico City, Monterrey, and Guadalajara, the host cities of Mexico, were illustrated by illustrator Cumanche, who used vibrant colors and traditional elements to visually express each city’s cultural identity. Toronto, Canada, was depicted as a mosaic of the vibrant energy of a multicultural city through the three-dimensional cubist style of artist Dave Murray.

This poster project is considered to be FIFA’s first attempt to expand the Olympic City Poster tradition to the scale of the World Cup. The series, where tradition and modernity coexist and local culture and passion for football are expressed in artistic language, is a medium to convey the individuality and charm of each city to football fans around the world. FIFA hopes that these posters will add to the cultural significance of the World Cup and emphasize its value as a festival enjoyed by the entire world.
