Toss reveals the process of making sophisticated and beautiful user experiences a reality through 'Simplicity Season 4'. This season covers the journey of struggling to turn the ideals that everyone working on 'Vision Driven Design' has dreamed of at least once into reality.
Even in an environment where quick problem solving is important, Toss did not give up on ideals, and various departments worked together to think and experiment. Designers, researchers, writers, engineers, etc. constantly challenged themselves to implement new UX even within the constraints of reality.
This season contains a total of 14 stories. They share their real-life experiences and solutions in various fields such as graphic design, interaction design, platform design, engineering, UX writing, and UX research.
There is a graphic design journey to add beauty to the 'Pull To Refresh' feature, interaction design for onboarding foreign users, improving universal UX for screen reader users, a new research methodology to quantify experiences, the challenges of UX writers growing with AI, and the story of the development of 'Deus', a design tool exclusive to Toss.
Recently, with the development of AI technology, the UX profession is also undergoing great changes, and Toss has presented various attempts such as design automation using AI and development of user test bots. In addition, research to improve usability for the visually impaired and cases of organizational culture change to solve the problem of 'design systems that no one uses' will be disclosed.
'Simplicity Season 4' focuses on the attitudes of people who pursue their ideals to the end even in the face of realistic problems. We want to convey the efforts to find answers to the question, "Is this really possible?" and the changes that result from it.
