Keyboard brand Keychron has introduced a new vertical wireless mouse, the M5. The vertical mouse is a product line that reduces wrist fatigue and pain by allowing you to maintain a natural handshake posture without twisting your wrist, and is gaining attention in the recent trend of focusing on user health.
Unlike conventional mice, the M5 has a 47-degree tilted body that allows for a grip that does not strain the wrist. In addition to the main scroll wheel located between the left and right clicks, a horizontal scroll wheel is also placed where the thumb touches, allowing for more intuitive and flexible operations. This is a structure that reduces finger fatigue when editing documents or working with Excel.
Keychron has equipped this mouse with an 8,000Hz polling rate, a 30,000DPI sensor, Huano 80 million click durability switches, and PTFE feet for the “ultimate control in the gaming environment.” These are specs that can be used even in e-sports environments that require high-speed responses. Weighing in at around 95g, it is somewhat heavier than gaming mice in the same class, but lighter than a typical ergonomic mouse.
It supports 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB wired connections, and even provides a USB-C to A conversion cable, so you can freely set it up according to your desk environment. The battery can be used for 140 hours.
Featuring five programmable buttons and two scroll wheels, the M5 is ideal for both casual work and long-term gaming. It’s priced at $69.99.
