British smartphone startup Nothing has officially announced the 'Phone (3a)' series. The Phone (3a) series features various shaped design elements on the back and a 'Glyph' light, which lights up in response to notifications and ringtones. The Phone (3a) starts at 329 pounds (about 620,000 won), while the Phone (3a) Pro, which has more powerful camera functions, is sold at 449 pounds (about 840,000 won).
The Phone (3a) series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. It has a triple camera system consisting of a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera supports optical image stabilization (OIS), and the telephoto camera offers improved zoom capabilities. The ultra-wide camera uses Sony's sensor to provide a wider field of view. The 'Essential Space' function, which captures the screen or records voices with a physical button and saves the information, is impressive.
Nothing is also growing rapidly in the Indian market, with a CAGR of 557% in 2024. Accordingly, Nothing's co-founder Akis Evangelidis plans to relocate to India later this year and head the local business himself. However, the Phone (3a) Pro will not be launched in India.
The Phone (3a) series will begin global pre-orders on the Nothing official website from the 4th, and the Phone (3a) Pro will begin pre-orders on March 11th. Official sales will begin on March 11th for the Phone (3a) and March 25th for the Phone (3a) Pro.
