Figma has released new AI beta features: community asset search and improved image resolution. Figma’s AI features are available for free in beta, but may have usage restrictions. Pricing will be adjusted when the full release is released. They are available to all paid plan users, and anyone with access to Figma Design files can use them.
Search Community Assets
Quickly find the assets you need in the design editor. Users can search for related elements by entering keywords or uploading images in the action menu. Search results are provided from Figma and community files, and you can select the desired assets and use them immediately.
There are three main search methods: keyword search, canvas selection search, and image search. Keyword search is a way to find the design element you want by entering a keyword in the task menu. Canvas selection search is a function to search for similar designs after selecting a specific layer. Image search is a way for users to upload an image themselves or select an existing image layer to find related designs.
Search results can be found in the Figma tab and the Community tab. The Figma tab lets you see available components and design assets, while the Community tab lets you explore design files shared by other users. Results can be sorted by file owner, workspace, relevance, and modification date.

Improve image resolution
You can increase the image resolution with one click. It helps to improve the design quality by making low-resolution images clearer. To increase the image resolution, select 'Enhance Resolution' from the Action menu.
In addition, it provides the ability to create and edit images directly on the canvas. Users can input text prompts to create the desired image, or apply it to existing frames or shapes. It also has a background removal feature that allows you to cleanly extract only the desired elements from the design.
