Netflix has announced a new feature called Moments that lets you save and share your favorite scenes. It’s available on the Netflix mobile app and was released on iOS on October 29, with Android coming in the coming weeks. There are no plans to bring it to the web or TV just yet.
Pause the video on your smartphone and tap the Moments button at the bottom. Once you have set the exact starting point, it will be saved in the 'My Netflix' tab. You can retrieve the saved point at any time from that tab, and when you open the video, it will start playing from the scene you saved. You can easily share specific moments with your friends on social media such as Instagram or Facebook.
Netflix spokesperson Dorian Rosenberg told The Verge that the number of Moments you can save will vary depending on the length of the content, but he said there’s plenty of space to save, so you don’t have to worry about a limit.
