Harris Kamala: Biden's Next Multicultural Endgame US Presidential Candidate

President Biden dropped out of the 2024 primary. Vice President Harris was nominated as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate. In the United States, a vice presidential candidate runs alongside a presidential candidate. For example, a presidential candidate from a southern region with a large Christian population pairs up with a vice presidential candidate from a northern region with a large Muslim population. This is called a running mate.

Harris was born to an Indian mother and a Jamaican father who immigrated to California. Her parents divorced when Harris was 5, and she was raised solely by her mother, a cancer researcher and civil rights activist. Harris served as a prosecutor, attorney general, and senator based in California, and ran for president in 2020. After dropping out due to a lack of support, she was chosen as Biden’s vice presidential candidate.

She is the first Asian-American black woman to do anything. She can be seen as a symbol of multiculturalism. After being nominated as a presidential candidate, the existing Biden-Harris camp created a new logo. Instead of emphasizing Harris's multicultural identity, it inherited Biden's brand.

The logo has changed from "BIDEN HARRIS" to "HARRIS for PRESIDNET." It uses the same Decimal sans-serif font as before, with deep blue and saturated red on a cream background. The slogan has changed from "Let's Finish the Job." to "Let's WIN this." It has changed from a slogan for a four-year term to a slogan for beating Trump.
