Dribble Rebranding: Design Players' Pink Basketball Court Transforms.

Dribbble, a service where the designer famous for the pink basketball logo shares his work, has updated its brand and service after 14 years.

Dribbble, which has become a playground for countless designers since its founding in 2009, has changed its logo to pursue its mission to become the best place to meet creative talent anywhere in the world. Websites have also evolved into platforms for finding talented designers.

👁️ Designer Eye

Dribble, along with Behence, is a portfolio showcase website favored by designers. Unlike Behence, which focuses on sharing completed projects, Dribbble is an easily accessible service that can be created in one piece.

In the past, only invited designers could use it, so it was famous as a space where real designers gathered to show off their creativity. On the one hand, it was criticized as being an unrealistic design that was fun and beautiful to look at, but impossible to actually make. Nonetheless, it is clear that Dribbble has been leading the trend in visual design.

Dribbble's wordmark has been changed to Alkaline font. The round word mark has become more dynamic and powerful. Readability is much improved. l and b are more distinguishable. The mid-20th century lettering has a retro feel and appears to be based on lettering frequently shared on Dribbble.

The symbol also changed to light pink. In keeping with the trend, objects are expressed in dark colors with medium saturation. The corners of the entire button have been rounded to approximate a circle. The 'Hire' button is highlighted as the main button and the interactive panel for your work is placed on the right.

The website design has also changed. #1 I feel a strong desire to become a designer recruitment service.

We're strengthening Dribbble Hiring to evolve into a platform that connects hiring managers and designers. The CTA on the homepage was focused on ‘Hiring a Designer’.

To produce good designers, we also provide the Dribbble UX Academy, an educational program with design leader mentors from companies such as IKEA, Meta, Instagram, and Figma.

Showcase, the foundation of Dribbble, has been improved to provide more favorable recommendations for Pro members, and the keyword search algorithm has been improved based on machine learning and AI.

📕 Editor's Notes

Dribble, a famous remote company, has changed significantly. Designer's Doodle Place previously ventured into the digital product market, but many people left due to the commercial aspect. Rather than competing with other digital product markets, it seems to be focusing on the value that only Dribbble can provide.

The price is enormous. If you want to text a designer or post a job for $100, it will cost you $500 a month. It's a significant amount, and it seems like they're targeting a business model for large corporate recruiters.

I'm curious about how we can gain an edge in the competition with Behens, which overlaps many areas.
