Nice to meet you. Design compass class. While designing for over 15 years, I have had various experiences such as starting a startup, designing more than 5 services, and design leader. I have been designing myself, giving feedback on the designs of my colleagues, coaching junior designers, and designing the ideas of non-designers. What I remember from going through a lot of people is that I had a good idea, but I didn't know how to express it because I didn't know how to handle the tools. I thought this was a phenomenon where tools get in the way of creativity. A design that reaches the extreme requires a long time to hone your skills, but I thought that an interesting idea could communicate with people with a lighter, faster and more visible design. I hope that everyone can express their ideas beyond the limits and create better designs. As a first step towards creating such a world, we created this class that anyone can learn easily. So from now on, let's talk about how to learn graphic design together with Figma.

class features
🕑 Learn the essentials
Learn only what is necessary. We are not going to learn all the features of a tool called Figma in this lecture. Learn only what you need to create the graphic design that an individual or company really needs to run a business. Learn the entire design process before making it fancy with multiple features. Figure out what interests you and what you need, then dig deeper and learn.
🔨 Learn by making
Learn by creating concrete results. Knowledge and skill are different. Merely remembering what you see and hear is not a skill you can use to create the results you actually want. Learn as you create and follow the entire process, from starting the program for the first time to creating images.
✋ actually writing something
Learn designs that can actually be used. It's hard to immerse yourself if it's not a useful goal for me. It does not end with just materials for practice, but aims for results that I can use right away. Learn how to make it easily using example files, and make the design you need yourself.
🧠 Create while thinking
Learn by thinking about why you make it this way. It does not stop at simply learning and executing the function of a tool called Figma. I keep thinking about what I make, who will be seen, why I make it this way, and what kind of design is good.
learning process
'Chapter 1. Getting Started' In this chapter, you will learn what you need to know before designing. 'Chapter 2. Dealing with Figma'In , understand the tool called Figma and handle it as if you were handling your hands and feet. 'Chapter 3. Learn while making'In , students learn figma while creating images that can actually be used. 'Chapter 1. Getting Started' In the chapter, simple knowledge is built first. Study the necessary knowledge before making visible designs. Students learn to understand a tool called Figma, graphic design, and image files. 'Chapter 2. Dealing with Figma'In , you will learn the key controls to handle figma. Quickly understand and see what you can do with screenshots and videos. There are many advanced features, but we only learn what we really need for graphic design. 'Chapter 3. Learn while making' In the project, concrete designs are created using example files for concrete results. Since creating a design from scratch is difficult and takes a long time, use the example files to quickly learn how to use Figma. When you think you've gotten used to it, try making your own design.
the result to make together
In the future, we will make things that are the most basic of the basics of graphic design. I focus on creating graphic designs using samples because I can never finish it in one day if I prepare all the materials needed for a design from scratch. First, let's create a logo kit that will be used most often in the field. Create business cards and posters to practice simple layouts. Then, we will create a web banner kit that can be used in the web environment, profile, channel art, thumbnail, and card news in turn.
